We boarded and found seats quickly. Great! But at the next stop we were booted out. Our seats were not our seats. Someone else had actually reserved our seats. What! The train was pretty full and there were no seats on our carriage or the next one that we could see, so we stood the remainder of the journey - 1&half hours! Juliane and George were waiting on the platform for us and Herman, Daisy and Cara were our welcoming party at the house.
In the afternoon we had to drop George at a meeting in a neighboring town and then we went to the Bonn Christmas markets. We didn't get a lot of time there unfortunately but we did manage to have a salmon burger that was to die for. OMG, it was awesome! Not that I got much - Emily is not such a great sharer when it comes to food!
Tonight we are going to see "The Hobbit" at the movies. Julianne and George are very keen and excited to see it as is Emily. Me...not so much, but a ticket has been purchased for me. My biggest problem will be trying to stay awake!
Tomorrow we are going to the Medieval Christmas markets with my pen friend of almost 30 years. Will be great to meet her again and I'm hoping we will have more time at the markets. I believe thought that the weather forecast is not so good - rain. But rain, hail or shine we will be going to the markets!
Till next time, ciao xx
