Bonn wrap up

It was a great weekend in Bonn. But as for the movie.....I didn't see much past the first 5 min.  I couldn't tell you ANYTHING about the story line, I spent the whole time fidgeting to stay awake. I was in that horrible place where you are soooooo tired and sooooo uncomfortable that you get really annoyed. Much like during the flight here. Nevertheless Julianne, George and Emily loved the movie.

After picking my pen friend of almost 30 years up from the train we went to the  medieval Christmas markets.  They were interesting.  No where near as big as others, and not as many things to buy, but some really nice food!  I tried some deep fried apple. The apple is sliced, dipped in a batter and then deep fried and served hot. It was so good.  Of course we had a bratwurst for lunch and then a waffle.  I'm not sure what the waffle was called or what was in it, but it was sweet with a hint of cinnamon.

Back at Julianne's house, we talked, watched some funny you tube videos of the way Germans say certain words and then after dinner, we decorated the Christmas tree.

It was wonderful to meet up with Tine again after so many years. It was also great to spend time with Julianne, Herman, and George.  I just wish I had more time here in Germany so things aren't so rushed.
